Agate is the name given to numerous varieties of banded Chalcedony, a mineral of the Quartz family. Agate is all about harmony and balance. It is known as a Grounding Stone, bringing about an emotional, physical and intellectual balance. All types of agate stones have these properties at the heart of their meaning. Agate is the stone to call on for support when you need stability and grounding in your life. Along with its supportive energy, this stone has been admired for its incredible beauty.
